Responsibilities

  • The posting is for a position as a Product Designer/Researcher within the IT Digital Worker User Experience and Change Management team
  • This is a cross-functional team composed of strategists, product designers, and project managers within Client IT solutions
  • Solution spaces include unified communications, collaboration technologies, as well as UX consulting
  • A designer will be working with internally developed solutions, off the shelf components, and internal-customer facing processes to bring human-centered design principles into the workplace experience delivery process

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes User-Centered Design Methodology and Design Thinking to work with business partners, product managers, and business analysts to provide designs that meet business needs and are effective, efficient, and enjoyable
  • Serves as an advocate for the customer/end-user, empathizing with them while being mindful of business goals and opportunities
  • Supports a high-performing culture among product team members
  • Embraces design thinking mindset and can explain its importance to team members
  • Assists with customer/end-user research (contextual inquiry, ethnographic interview, focus groups) and gather data to understand customer/end-user needs
  • Conducts usability testing, card sorting, and heuristic reviews to validate UX designs and/or user needs
  • Works hands-on with the team members and stakeholders to resolve questions, clarify UX designs, and deliver products
  • Produces low fidelity prototypes to evaluate with the users and team. Produces visual designs, mock-ups, and graphical assets

Skills Required

  • Experience with Human-Centered Design (HCD) and facilitation HCD with groups
  • Experience performing ethnographic research with end-users
  • Experience setting UX Strategy for a product or portfolio

Education Required

  • Bachelor degree in one of the following - Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology Human Factors, Computer Science, Engineering, Fine Arts, Communications or related experience
