Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support analytics and enterprise reporting workloads.
  • Design logical and physical data models including fact and dimension structures using star schema and snowflake schema approaches.
  • Convert SAP BW cubes and queries into SQL based views to enable migration of SAP Business Objects reports to Power BI.
  • Work with business analysts and reporting teams to support the transition of legacy SAP BO reports into Power BI dashboards and datasets.
  • Optimize SQL queries through indexing, query tuning, and efficient database design to improve reporting performance.
  • Validate and maintain data accuracy and consistency across SAP BW sources, SQL transformation layers, and Power BI reporting outputs.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into structured data models.
  • Troubleshoot SQL scripts, reporting queries, and data pipeline issues during migration and post migration phases.
  • Document SQL logic, data models, and reporting workflows to support governance, maintenance, and future reporting enhancements.
